Skiers at Alyeska can enjoy longer days and generally better snow conditions in February. By Heather Thamm

February is arguably the best month to spend time at Alyeska. Skiers and riders just need to think back to last season when February delivered 26 days of snowfall, with 10 days over 10 inches of new snow, and five days with 20 inches or more. This month, daylight lasts longer, trails are filled in and snow safety starts looking towards opening outer areas when conditions are right. Ted’s Express, the high-speed quad, has been busy with skiers and riders riding the new chair to access the upper mountain from the Daylodge base area.

Mountain Learning Center offers lessons daily for all ages and abilities, providing a positive experience for those new to the sport of downhill skiing or snowboarding. Stay the night at The Hotel Alyeska with rooms packages that include lift tickets and/or lessons starting as low as $199 per night, so that weekend getaway to Girdwood can be both affordable and fun.

From high-quality dining to high-energy concerts, there’s plenty to do both on and off the slopes at Alyeska this month.

Super Bowl Fun

Start out game day with 2-for-1 lift tickets on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 3, valid on adult, student and child lift tickets. Then, ski or ride right into your bar of choice for pre-game coverage. Find big-screen TVs and bar specials at both the Aurora Bar & Grill and Sitzmark.
