Events and info for having fun in Girdwood: • Alyeska Bike Park Mountain Bike Festival is Sept 6, 7 and 8. It includes skills competitions such as “Big Air” and a downhill bike race. The Whipsaws play Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Sitzmark. • Downhill races are held the last Saturday of every month through September. • On Friday’s half-prize bike rentals are available 3-6 p.m. with lift ticket purchase. • A free 1-hour familiarization tour is offered at 1 p.m. Fridays only, open to all.
