Mike Halko ran the Boston Marathon in 1994, finishing in a time of 3 hours, 8 minutes and 3 seconds, placing him 1,872nd of 8,105 entries. He then participated in the 100th running of the Boston Marathon as part of Team Alaska in 1996 – an idea he had contemplated for two years.
